Movistar Roaming

This campaign was a global pitch winning idea for a new roaming service rolling out across all Telefonica brands in Europe and Latin America (O2 and Movistar). Unfortunately the campaign did not make it to the end of production. 
 
BRIEF
 
Do away with the fears around roaming charges and inspire customers
to make the most of their phone abroad.
THE IDEA

Birds are supposed to be the ultimate symbol of freedom.
Spreading their wings. Flying high. Going wherever they want to go.
But not chickens.
Chickens stay put. Cooped up. Scared to stray.
There’s a world out there - but they miss out.
So we will tell the story of a chicken – who dares to think bigger.
To lose his fear. And leap into life’s possibilities.
We say: never let fear hold you back.
With our roaming service – you don’t have to be scared to use your phone abroad.
So you can do more, see more, explore more.
Like our little feathered hero – you too can be fearless and free.
STORYBOARD
 
In our script we see a frightened and couped up chicken who dares to one day break free from his coop. A serises of vignettes follows him as he travels the world, no longer afriad to roam free.
